Earth Day Beach & Park Clean-Up on Saturday, April 24, 2021, has been canceled due to inclement weather.
Earth Day 2021 has past but our hearts and hands are called to action tomorrow, Saturday, April 24th, 2021 to help keep our beautiful beaches, and parks clean! This is a mission not set for just one day, but a way we can live every day! Of course, Mother Earth is helping us remember this as we anticipate the storm this Saturday. We applaud YOU and your dedication; it has never been stronger to keeping our community beautiful! That said, we are closely monitoring the weather and communicating with our local safety authorities with your wellbeing our top priority. Out of the abundance of caution due to the uncertainty of the severity of the weather, all Beach & Park Clean Up locations will be canceled for Saturday, April 24th with the following cancellations and modifications to each location.
Unfortunately, due to available resources, the following Clean Up locations will be canceled altogether:
- Norriego Point
- Mattie Kelly Park / Joes Bayou
Over the next week, we are calling you to partake in “D.I.Y Earth Day Beach Clean Up Week”! All Eventbrite registered participants are encouraged to t come out, get out, and throw out any trash along our beaches & parks!

Then, on Saturday, May 1st, come to the following locations from 8am - 10am, show us your best clean up photo, and pick up your free shirt.
- The Boardwalk
- Crab Trap Destin
- Surf Hut
- Henderson Park – registered participants can show their Eventbrite ticket and get free park entry any time this week!
- Wet, Inc. (Norriego Point participants)
