Get your hands wet with oyster gardening this season! Join the Choctawhatchee Oyster Gardening Program and experience the joy of tending gardens of tiny filtering powerhouses! Adult oysters can filter up to 50 gallons of water a day!
Help us enhance our oyster populations and add them to the CBA oyster reefs built along our shorelines. Oysters not only filter water but also provide habitat and food for many creatures. Anglers, oyster cages will attract many fish species to your docks. Naturalists will enjoy exploring species that will make oyster cages their home.
Volunteer one hour a week with the CBA from your backyard dock -- adopt an oyster cage today!
The CBA will be hosting an oyster gardening workshop Saturday, April 9th starting at 11 AM at the NWFSC Niceville Campus Building 300, room 102
