Keely Boykin

From a very young age, Keely harbored a deep love for marine life and the ocean. Wanting to pursue a career in this field, she acquired her B.S. in Biology and Marine Science from the University of Alabama.

After graduating, she completed two internships at Mote Marine Laboratory, one in Animal Training, working with mammals and reptiles, and another in Aquarium Husbandry, working with fish and invertebrates. Working in aquariums fired Keely’s passion for educating the public about diverse wildlife and the various ecosystems they call home.

Keely relocated to the Florida Panhandle and recognized a need to harness her drive to educate others about our unique environment and to inspire them to appreciate and protect our coastal wildlife. At CBA, she does just that while leading our education programs, serving as the volunteer coordinator for all CBA programs, and engaging with people at various community events.

When she’s not at work, Keely enjoys walking on the beach, snorkeling, and spending time with her husband, kitty, and gecko at home.
